• April 1st – Fire
call(Car fire)
Tanker 302 from Hudson was dispatched
to a car fire next to a commercial wooden structure in 7’s
district. Crews operated on scene for 45 minutes and then returned.
• April 1st – Fire call (Verification call)
Shortly after E202 made an investigation
of a structure on Evergreen. Crews arrived shortly after the
call and assessed. All checked to be OK and the Engine crew
returned.
• April 2nd – Fire call(Structural collapse)
Wednesday just after lunch L402
and E202 responded to check another structure. Crews arrived
to find a garage that had sustained serious structural damage
due to weight of the ice. Crews were back in service about a
half hour after arriving.
• April 2nd – Medical call
• April 3rd – Fire call(Structure fire)
T302 and a crew of four responded
to Rigaud Mountain for a structure fire in 7’s district.
Crews arrived to find a one story house with heavy fire showing
from the basement. Crews entered and searched for people in
the house. Fortunately the house was empty and crews worked
to extinguish the fire. T302 returned to station and took approximately
2 hours to place the truck back in service.

• April 3rd – Fire call(Structure fire)
Just after crews had left the station
the pagers sounded again for smoke in a house on Main Road.
E202 responded very quickly with a crew of five firefighters.
The Engine arrived to find fire shooting from the front door.
Crews went to work quickly plugging the hydrant and pulling
hand lines. E211 and E208 also responded. Crews were able to
save a lot of valuables although there was some very heavy fire
damage.

• April 5th – Fire call(Structure collapse)
All trucks responded to a very
serious call for a person trapped underneath a roof collapse.
The person was pinned beneath a roof weighted down with solid
ice. Command called extra resources due to the seriousness of
the call. A rescue was sent from St-Lazare, Vaudreuil, Rigaud
and Picourt. Crews operated on scene for 45 minutes, the patient
was removed and sent to hospital.

This call was for a flooding basement
due to a water tank problem. Crews helped the home owner for
approximately half an hour and then returned to service.
• April 8th – Fire call(Structure fire)
Just after lunch crews were was
called for a structure fire on Yacht Club Road. E202 arrived
to find smoke showing from the second floor. E202 had tagged
the hydrant and T302 supplied to the fire. E211, E208 as well
as E208 were called but only E208 was used as the fire was knocked
down before extra crews arrived. Crews were all back in service
approximately one hour after receiving the call.

• April 8th – Fire call(Structure fire)
That evening T302 and five firefighters
responded to a structure fire in 7’s district. Hudson
crews assisted Rigaud for five hours and then returned to quarters.
• April 10th – Fire call(Residential fire alarm)
All trucks responded to a residential
alarm. The alarm was set off by workers sanding floors.
• April 10th – Fire call(Flood call)
Hudson fire was asked to assist
public works in sandbagging to prevent a possible flood to a
house near the lake.

Saturday was another busy day for
the volunteers. While crews were at the station performing their
weekly vehicle and equipment checks they received a call to
back up station 7 for another structure on fire. T302 and a
crew of six responded. They assisted Rigaud for approximately
two hours and then returned to Hudson.
• April 12th – Fire call(Flood call)
While the Tanker was out fighting
the fire, crews were dispatched to a Summerfield address for
a flood call. Crews helped out the resident for a short while
and then returned in service.

Just after lunch R502 and M902
responded to a Willow address for a flooding call. Crews were
on scene for a short while and then returned to station in service.
• April 16th – Fire call(Smell of smoke)
All trucks responded to a house
for a reported electric motor problem. Crews verified the house
and returned in service.

The station was alerted for a flooding
problem on Woodland. R502 responded with four firefighters.
Crews were on scene for approximately one hour before they returned
to quarters.
• April 20th – Fire call(Flood call)
Sunday morning crews were again
out for some flooding problems and were on scene for approximately
30 minutes.
• April 20th – Fire call(Brush fire)
E202, T302 and R502 were called
for a brush fire. The fire started from an outside cooker at
a small sugar shack. The structure was completely destroyed
before the fire was put out.

E202 got called to back up station
8 for a chimney fire. E202 crew laddered the roof and cleaned
the chimney.
