On August 1st, Vaudreuil county was hit with a wind and rain
storm that kept all the fire departments very busy. For the
next 3 days, Hudson fire responded to multiple incidents during
this time for a variety of calls including: Floods, trees down,
wires down, garage fire, mutual aids and alarms.

T302 got called out to stand-by
in Rigaud due to the fact that they had multiple calls that
day and needed some well deserved rest.
• Aug 2nd – Fire call(Garage fire)
Shortly after arriving in Rigaud,
all trucks responded to a garage fire attached to the house.
Ladder 412(Vaudreuil),E207(Rigaud) and E208(St-Lazare) were
called on automatic mutual-aid. E202 and R502 arrived first.
E202 caught the hydrant with 5” hose and stretched 2 lines
to the garage. The first line entered the garage from the rear
while the second proceeded to the second floor of the garage
for exposures. The flames were extinguished fairly quickly and
damages were kept to the garage area.

T302 and R502 responded to a MVC
between a scooter and a car. Both victims were treated for minor
injuries and transferred to EMS.

While T302 and Boat 1502 were in
Pincourt for a parade, we got dispatched for a canoe overturned
in the lake of two mountains. Boat 1512(Vaudreuil) was called
out to respond but later cancelled as the canoe got towed by
a passing boat.

• Aug 19th – Fire call(Smell of gas)
At 15:00, E202,R502 and T302 responded
to an apartment complex for a smell of gas coming from the parking
garage. The smell had traveled throughout the complex due to
the fact that all the doors were wedged open. The building was
checked for Co and nothing was found. The garage area was ventilated
and crews cleared about 30 min. later.

We got a call for a sail boat possibly
in distress in front of Sandy beach. B1502 responded to the
location and was advised by the occupants that everything was
fine.
• Aug 27th – Fire call (Residential fire alarm)
E202, T302 and R502 responded to
a house just outside or district for a fire alarm. Vaudreuil
fire was already on a call at the time and asked for our assistance.
Hudson got cleared by command shortly after.
