      Engine 202 responded with 6 on route 342 for a car accident. Upon arrival, it was reported that the vehicle went through a guard rail, broke a hydro pole, slid on the bell wires for approx. 500ft. and landed on its wheels in the ditch. The occupant had minor injuries and 202 cleared shortly after.

      The station got a call for smoke and flames coming from an electrical panel. At our arrival, we found fuses blown from a 600v main switch. The electrical service was checked and all crews were in service within 30mins.

      After already a busy start, a storm hit the area with strong winds and we started receiving multiple calls for lines down and trees down.

      Rescue 502 and medic 902 responded for a Carbon monoxide call. The house was verified with our 4 gas detector and found a reading due to a furnace problem.

      We received a call for a fire alarm sounding. Rescue 502 investigated with the thermal imaging camera and found nothing. All crews were cleared within 45mins.

      At 14:02, Engine 202 was called out for a structure fire backing station #8. The crew of Engine 202's initial task was interior attack of the second story. Engine 202 acted as a relay pump from the hydrant to Engine 208 of St.-Lazare. 202's crew later worked overhaul and hotspots until cleared, returning to Station #2 around 20:00. Rescue 502 also responded shortly after Engine 202 to provide a full cascade system and extra air bottles. 502 shortly later was cleared and returned to the station at 15:00. Other mutual aid teams on scene included, Ladder 412 from Vaudreuil-Dorion, 807 from Rigaud, and 205 from Les Cedres.

      We received a call for an odor of gas. At our arrival, the leak was confirmed and the gas was shut off and ventilated.

      At
      05:30am, the house responded to a residential house fire. Upon arrival, smoke and flames were apparent in sector one, near the front entrance. The crews of Engine 202 and Tanker 302, first on scene commenced the initial knockdown and established water supply quickly. Command called mutual aid for assistance from neighboring departments including St-Lazare’s 208, Rigaud’s 2007, and Vaudreuil-Dorion’s ladder 412. Due to the quick work of the initial crew’s primary attack, salvage efforts, and the manpower from neighboring communities, fire damage was limited to the roof and second story only.

      At 12:45pm, we received a call for a skidoo on fire on the ice bridge. On our arrival the skidoo was fully involved and was located about half way across the ice bridge. Due to our protocol not to send emergency vehicles on the ice, we sent firefighters and extinguishers in a smaller vehicle to extinguish the fire.
