E202 was called to St-Lazare for
an alarm sounding. St-Lazare crews arrived quickly and cancelled
the Engine as it was leaving.
• Feb 5th – Fire call (Automatic mutual aid)
E202 responded for a smell of smoke
in a house on Brunet in 8’s district. E208 arrived and
cancelled E202 while responding to the scene.

E202 was toned out to respond with
station #8 for a fire alarm sounding in a house on Pine Tree.
Engine 202 arrived with a crew of five fire fighters. The alarm
was caused by construction workers and crews cleared shortly
after arriving.
• Feb 8th – Fire call (Commercial fire alarm)
Friday morning was a busy one for
fire crews. All trucks along with E208 responded for an alarm
sounding in a local school. Crews arrived to find an alarm sounding
due to dust. All trucks were back in service a half hour after
receiving the call.
• Feb 8th – Fire call (Commercial fire alarm)
Just after returning to the station
and cleaning all the trucks, the pagers were then activated
for an alarm sounding at the same school. Crews arrived this
time to find a detector activated due to a smoking toaster and
crews returned.
• Feb 8th – Fire call (Haz-mat call)
Again the trucks were cleaned and
the pagers were then sounded for a hazardous materials call.
Crews were quick to handle the call and were back in service
in less than an hour.

Just after returning everything
to service after the medical call, crews were then toned out
for a fire alarm at a local school. All trucks responded and
made investigation. All trucks were held on scene for a short
while by command and then returned.

Tuesday morning all trucks responded
for a four car accident on Cote St-Charles. Crews worked along
side police and ambulance to stabilize the scene.

As M902 was about to leave the
station another call was received for a commercial alarm sounding
on Cameron Avenue. M902 continued for the medical call and all
other trucks and E208 responded to the alarm. Crews found a
detector sounding due to steam and returned.

This was a busy day for the volunteers.
The first call came in just after 0800 for a smell of natural
gas in the Mayfair area. E202 was first to arrive with four
fire fighters. Crews found a very light odour in the general
area with no source found. Vaudreuil Fire Department had just
finished up a couple of similar calls prior to the Hudson call.
It was determined that there was an odour from Vaudreuil to
Hudson and Gaz Metropolitain was contacted.
• Feb 20th – Fire call (Smoke inside a building)
Just after lunch all trucks from
Hudson, as well as E208, responded to a Cameron Avenue address
for smoke in the building. Crews found a good amount of smoke
in the structure and went to work locating the source. After
a short while an over-heating furnace was located and shut off.

E202 was called out to station
8’s district for a chimney fire. Hudson crews assisted
St-Lazare in verifying the building for fire extension. All
checked out and Command returned Hudson’s Engine.

While returning from the medical
call, a second call was received to back up Station 8 for a
gas call in a residence. E202 responded quickly with five firefighters.
The engine arrived and secured a hydrant and stood by. Command
cleared the Hudson crew after a few minutes and the engine returned
in service.
• Feb 25th – Fire call (Automatic mutual aid)
Approximately an hour after placing
the engine back in service crews were again toned out for a
gas call in Station 8’sdistrict. The engine arrived and
was held by command until verification was completed. E202 returned
to station approximately a half hour after receiving the call.
• Feb 26th – Fire call (House fire)
Tuesday evening Engine 202 and
a crew of six fire fighters responded to a house on fire in
station 12’s district. Vaudreuil crews had arrived to
find the second floor of a residence involved with fire and
called for reinforcements from Hudson and Pincourt. Hudson crews
worked for two hours and then were returned to quarters by Vaudreuil
command.

E202 responded to a Vaudreuil address
for a fire alarm sounding in a house. The Engine arrived at
the same time as T313 from Vaudreuil and made investigations.
Crews were held by Vaudreuil command for a while and then returned
in service.

All trucks with E208 were dispatched
to a house for a smell of smoke inside. E202 arrived and, after
a quick check of the residence, immediately turned off the main
power to the building. The owner was advised to contact an electrician.
