• Jan 1st – Fire call(MVC)
R502 was called out for an mvc on the highway with station 8. E208 and R502 arrived and found a car with one patient. R502 used the jaws to remove the door and extricate the victim. Cetam took over patient care and R502 cleared.

R502 responded to a house for a flooded basement. The basement was pumped out and the owner was notified to repair the frozen pipe from the sump pump.

E202 was dispatched to station 8’s district for a chimney fire. The crews assisted in the fire operations and cleared after about 30 mins.

• Jan 4th – Fire call(Smoke in commercial building)
All trucks responded to a grocery store for smoke visible near the front door. An overhead door heater was determined to be the cause. The unit and surrounding wall was verified with the thermal imaging camera. The power to the heater was turned off and the manager contacted an electrician.

• Jan 5th – Fire call(Commercial alarms)
T302 responded to verify a fire alarm activated by workers. It was confirmed that the cause for the alarms was from the workers on location.

• Jan 7th – Fire call(Residential fire alarm)
E202, T302 and L402 responded to alarms. The cause was from a cleaning crew inside.

• Jan 8th – Fire call(Automatic mutual aid)
E202 got a call to back-up station 8 for a smell of smoke in a house. The engine was kept on stand-by at the scene and then released shortly after.

On Jan 9th, a wind and snow storm hit the county and Hudson was out in full force again. The calls ranged from wires down, trees on wires, trees down, flooded basements and alarms.

E202 responded for alarms in 8’s district. E208 arrived first and confirmed that the alarm was set off from cooking. E202 was cleared before arrival.

• Jan 17th – Fire call(wires down)
E202 was sent to verify wires down on the road. The wires were ripped down from a delivery truck. The scene was cleared and Bell was notified.

E202 responded to station 8’s district for a chimney fire. Command asked E202 to assist with interior operations and was cleared after about 45mins of work.

E202 and L402 were dispatched to a commercial fire alarm in 12’s district. E202 arrived first and saw smoke inside a restaurant. The engine’s crew stretched a line and forced the front door open while L402 set up the ladder to the roof. After a few seconds of searching inside the smoke filled restaurant, E202’s crew found leftover food in the kitchen that caught fire. The food was removed and the restaurant was ventilated.

All trucks were dispatched to a hair salon for smoke inside. E202 and L402’s crews were sent inside to investigate. The smoke had cleared and after verifying the salon, the cause was determined to be a dirty air filter from the furnace.
