At 23:00 right after our Canada
day fireworks, we were dispatched to an mvc on Hwy.40 west at
exit 17. The call was for one vehicle roll-over with person
trapped. Medic 902 arrived first followed by Tanker 302 and
Rescue 502. The Medic and Rescue were assigned to the scene
while T302 blocked all lanes of the Highway. The patient was
treated for minor injuries by M902 while the vehicle was stabilized
by R502. The patient was transferred to EMS and all vehicles
cleared about an hour later.

Engine 202 and Rescue 502 were
called out for a tree down blocking the road. The Engine and
rescue crews cleared the tree using chain saws and were back
in service shortly after.
• July 2nd – Fire call(Tree down)
About 3 hrs later Engine 202 and
Rescue 502 got another call for a tree that had fallen on a
house. The tree was cut down and the house had minor damage.

• July 5th – Fire call(Smell of gas)
At around 19:30, all vehicles responded
to a commercial building for a reported smell of gas. Rescue
502 investigated with the gas detector in and around the building
and nothing was found.

At 01:30 another call came in for
a tree down on the road. The crews from the engine and rescue
handled the call by cutting the tree with saws.

store)
Early in the morning we got called
to the local hardware store for flames showing. Engine 202 arrived
first and reported flames coming from the lumber yard. Chief
102 took command and put in a working fire calling for 2 extra
engines and a ladder. E202 stretched a 2 ½ to the yard
while T302 caught the hydrant. T302 crew got a second line from
E202 and helped out the first attack line to extinguish the
fire. The lumber yard was very close to the main building and
2 propane tanks were located near the fire. The fire was contained
to the yard.

At approx. 01:00, Engine 202 and
Rescue 502 responded to another tree down across the road. The
tree was removed.
• July 19th – Fire call(Carbon monoxide call)
At 03:55, we received a call for
a co detector activated near the garage area. Rescue 502 investigated
with the detector and found 40ppm in the hallway near the garage
and 135ppm in the garage. The house was completely checked out
and ventilated.
• July 20th – Fire call(Smell of smoke)
At 10:15, all vehicles responded
to a residential house for smell of smoke. Papers were left
inside the fireplace and started smoldering. The fireplace was
cleared out and the house was ventilated with PPV.
• July 21st – Fire call(Residential fire alarm)
The smoke detector sounded on the
second floor and was caused by steam.

After heavy rain fall, Engine 202
and Rescue 502 responded to a school for water leaking in the
classroom. The crews used shop-vacs and squeegees and cleared
within the hour.

At 15:45, boat 1502 was needed
on the lake of two mountains for a 20’ cruiser with mechanical
problems. The cruiser was towed back to the marina and B1502
was back in service 1 ½ later.
